Biosafety & Security Policy – Updated March 25, 2022

The health of our panelists and staff is our primary concern. CPT℠ has updated our Biosafety and Security policy as of March 21, 2022, based upon Governor Murphy’s lifting of certain restrictions, and ending the Public Health Emergency in NJ.

Our Clinical Evaluation and Photobiology departments are healthy subject sites. We have conducted clinical trials to ascertain the safety and/or efficacy of products, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics and personal products, which are submitted to us by our clients. Our consultant doctors include Board Certified dermatologists, ophthalmologists, pediatricians, dentists and gynecologists. Our protocols, Institutional Review Board submissions, trial conduct and report development are all overseen by our Principal Investigators.

While some of our previous restrictions have been eased, CPT continues to maintain infection control procedures, which are appropriate to the clinical trials being run in our facility. CPT has assessed the physical space in which clinical and photobiology trials are performed, and determined the maximum capacity possible when occupants are maintaining physical distancing, and complying with other infection control procedures. CPT has installed physical barriers, where appropriate, to limit contact between subjects, and has altered traffic flow patterns for subject ingress and egress from the laboratory.

  • Subjects who are participating in our trials will have their temperature taken for a Pass/Fail and any subject that fails will not be admitted to the facility.
  • Subjects will be required to wear masks that meet minimum standards for their protection and the safety of our staff, if their trial participation will entail them being in close contact with others for more than 15 minutes.
  • Subjects shall not loiter in the building, but will exit the building immediately upon completion of their trial visit

We want to make all of our panelists feel comfortable when participating in studies at our facility. We will be doing our best to make this a positive experience for everyone. Thank you for participating at CPT℠ and we hope to see you soon.

Due to the forecast calling for snow and out of an abundance of caution we will be having a delayed opening tomorrow. Our facilities will now be opening at 10 AM on January 7th, 2022.
