Visit 1: Potential panelists will report to the Testing Facility at their scheduled appointment time and complete an ICF to become panelists. For the next 7 days, panelists will discontinue use of any type of moisturizing product on their face. Panelists will wash their face two times each day with a non-moisturizing Neutrogena soap, provided by the Testing Facility. Panelists will be required to use the provided cleanser for the duration of the trial.
A Conditioning Phase daily diary will be provided to each panelist to document each washing of their face.
Visit 2 (Day 0): Panelists will report to the Testing Facility at their scheduled appointment time, without moisturizer or makeup, and will wash their face at the Testing Facility. Panelists’ Conditioning Phase daily diaries will be collected and reviewed for compliance. An Expert Grader will evaluate each panelist's face area for evidence of redness, swelling, dryness, and under eye area for roughness. Panelists with a score of 2 or greater for redness or swelling will be disqualified. Panelists must have mild to moderate dryness to qualify. Panelists must have minimal to mild roughness to qualify. Qualified panelists will equilibrate in the temperature-controlled room for at least 30 minutes. Following equilibration, baseline VapoMeter®, MoistureMeterSC®, Cutometer® measurements and VISIA-CR® images will be captured. Panelists will apply the test material under clinical supervision. About 30 minutes later, VapoMeter® and MoistureMeterSC® measurements will be repeated. Panelists will be provided with a 4-week supply of the test material and a daily diary to document use. Written and verbal Sponsor-supplied use instructions will be provided to each panelist.
Visit 3 (Week 4): Panelists will report to the Testing Facility at their scheduled appointment time, without moisturizer or makeup, and will wash their face at the Testing Facility. Any unused test material will be returned, and daily diaries will be collected and reviewed for compliance. Expert Grader evaluations will be repeated. Panelists will equilibrate in the temperature controlled room for at least 30 minutes. During equilibration panelists will complete a questionnaire. Following equilibration, final measurements and images will be captured.
