Mel Weiss received a B.S. from New York State University and a M.A. from Columbia University, and prior to co-founding Consumer Product Testing℠ Company, worked as teacher, and then as a cosmetic chemist. He rapidly progressed at Faberge, culminating in becoming the Director of Biological Sciences in 1971.
Recognizing the need for a contract laboratory that could better serve the cosmetic industry, CPT℠ was founded with the principles of ethical generation of data, and service with excellence. His vision was maintained from the founding of the company through today as CPT℠ became an innovative leader expanding our services into the clinical, microbiology, and analytical service divisions.
